Max and Tess, a young family, were tired of renting and wanted to find a place they could call home for at least the next five years. They were familiar with Rosebery and the surrounding suburbs, having rented there for a while. With a limited budget, we initially focused on finding a 3-bedroom apartment with a lock-up garage in suburbs like Hillsdale. However, it soon became clear that the challenge was balancing between 3-bedroom apartments with no garage and larger 2-bedroom apartments closer to Rosebery and Kingsford, which did include a lock-up garage.
After two months of searching, with limited options to inspect, especially over the Christmas period, we finally found a large 2-bedroom apartment with a secure car space. Max and Tess loved it as soon as they saw it. We then carefully reviewed the lengthy strata report and began negotiating with the agent. Knowing that a previous offer had been accepted before Christmas but fell through, we used that as a benchmark and were able to secure the property at a better price.
The result was a great one—Max and Tess are excited to move in, and the kids will no doubt enjoy the pool and other facilities at their new home.
